Cookie Policy
This policy describes cookies and similar browser storage used by the Jhamtse website, what they support, and how you can manage available choices.

1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small values a website or provider stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features. They can keep a site secure, remember a language or access state, preserve progress, record a consent choice, or help measure use. A cookie can be a session cookie that ends when the browser closes or a persistent cookie that lasts until its configured expiry or deletion.
2. How choices work
Necessary storage is used to deliver security, requested access and core functions. If the site offers a choice, optional analytics and provider categories are controlled through that choice. The preference control on this page appears only when the site’s active consent service can open the settings panel.
Consent choices do not remove storage that is strictly needed for a requested service, and they do not control a provider after you deliberately leave our site. Some external features, such as maps or payment forms, can connect to their provider when you request them. Browser controls can also block or delete storage, but doing so may interrupt login, access, language, progress, donation or form features.
3. Cookies and preferences used by Jhamtse
The table uses plain-language names for the main cookies and saved preferences used by Jhamtse. A value is created only when the related feature is used. The first seven rows describe cookies; the final two describe local storage and session storage.
| Cookie or storage purpose | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Website language preference | Remembers the selected website language. | 1 year |
| Sponsor Portal language preference | Remembers the Sponsor Portal login language. | 30 days |
| Tashi and the Monk film access | Maintains browser access to the film. | Up to 7 days while pending; up to 400 days after access |
| Planting Kindness journey access | Maintains browser access to the learning journey. | 90 days |
| Fundraiser application session | Protects and resumes the public fundraiser application. | 48 hours |
| Fundraiser Organizer Center access | Protects the receiving browser and authenticated organizer session. | Up to 2 days; the authenticated session ends after 12 hours of inactivity |
| WordPress account and security | Supports authenticated Staff or sponsor sessions, browser checks and account security. | Browser session or remembered-login period |
| Tashi and the Monk language preference | Remembers the selected film language in local storage. | Until film access ends or browser storage is cleared |
| Tashi and the Monk playback and consented coverage | Uses session storage to resume the same-tab checkout or playback state and, with analytics consent, retain viewing coverage. | Current browser tab or session; cleared earlier after use, access removal or consent withdrawal |
These values contain no payment-card data.
The accessibility widget remembers your language and display preferences in your browser. Reset settings clears display adjustments while retaining your selected language. You can remove all saved preferences by clearing this website’s data in your browser.
4. Cookie choices and website analytics
CookieYes can store a consent cookie so the site can remember available category choices. How long that cookie lasts and what it contains depend on the site’s published consent configuration.
When analytics permission is granted, Google Analytics may use first-party measurement cookies and receive page, device, referrer and interaction information. The cookies used and how long they remain depend on the site’s analytics configuration. Jhamtse intends Google Analytics only for usage measurement and does not intend to enable its advertising features or targeted advertising.
5. Cookies used by other services
Funraise donation and sponsorship forms can use their own security, session and checkout storage when the giving experience loads. Razorpay can do the same for the India giving path. YouTube and Vimeo can receive browser and viewing information when a player loads; YouTube uses the privacy-enhanced embed domain where configured, and Vimeo embeds use available privacy controls. OpenStreetMap tile requests and map software delivered through unpkg receive ordinary request information when a map is shown.
Mailchimp and Amazon Simple Email Service normally process information on the server side for requested email rather than through a Jhamtse browser cookie. Plain external links do not load the destination provider until you follow them. Each provider can use its own cookies or storage once its site or service is active, subject to its notice and settings.
6. Managing cookies and saved preferences
Use the site’s real cookie settings when the control is available. You can also use browser settings to review, block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking all storage can sign you out, remove a language choice, end a film or learning-program access state, discard form progress, or prevent a secure transaction from working. Changing a cookie choice does not itself erase contact, donation, sponsorship or program records; use the Privacy Policy contact route for a separate privacy request.
7. Updates and contact
Cookie names and provider behavior can change as services are updated. We revise this page when our material use changes and show the latest revision in the “Last updated” date. Questions about this policy or a cookie choice can be sent to Jhamtse International at the email address below.
