Through their generous operational support, BWT and the AQUA PEARLS Foundation help sustain the daily life of our community and strengthen our long-term sustainability initiatives. Their partnership enables us to cultivate sustainability not as a program, but as a way of life — woven into how we learn, live, and grow together.
At Jhamtse Gatsal, every child participates in eco-stewardship through lived experience. From regenerative organic farming practices such as crop rotation, vermicomposting, and hydroponics, to zero-waste initiatives that include segregation, upcycling, and district-level plastic recycling, our students actively engage in responsible interaction with natural resources. We integrate eco-friendly construction using indigenous knowledge and renewable energy, rainwater harvesting and water recycling systems, and seed preservation to protect native crops for future generations.
This hands-on approach strengthens our holistic educational model by teaching environmental stewardship through daily action — nourishing our soil, growing our food, conserving energy, preserving seeds, and giving back to Mother Earth.
